Dow tops 9,000 as home sales rise for 3rd month (AP)

The Dow Jones industrials are back above 9,000 for the first time since the beginning of January. Investors are snapping up stocks across the market Thursday, sending major indexes up about 2 percent, after a report showed existing home sales jumped for the third straight month.

US dollar mixed, gold up in European trading (AP)

The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Thursday. Gold rose. The euro traded at $1.4254, up from $1.4228 late Wednesday in New York.

Interactive Data Reports Second-Quarter 2009 Results (Business Wire)

BEDFORD, Mass.—-Interactive Data Corporation today reported its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2009. Interactive Data’s second-quarter 2009 revenue was $185.0 million, compared with $186.1 million in the second quarter of 2008.
